Overview

Dakabi Inspector ("the app") is published by Dakabi LLC ("we", "us"). It is a work tool used by appraisers under an account their employer or contracting company has set up in Dakabi 5, the claims management system that company operates. This page describes what data the app handles and where it goes.

What the app collects

Everything the app sends is sent to the Dakabi 5 system of the company that issued your account, to do the work that company assigned you:

• Your name, email address and user ID — to sign you in and attribute your work.
• Photos and videos you take in the app — of the vehicle or property being inspected. They are attached to that inspection's file.
• The inspection content you enter — scope of damage, vehicle details, notes, review answers.

The app asks for camera access to take inspection photos and for photo-library access to add existing photos and to save a copy of each one you take. It does not read your other photos.

What the app does not do

The app contains no:

• Analytics or telemetry
• Advertising networks or identifiers
• Crash-reporting services
• Cookies, web beacons, or tracking
• Third-party SDKs of any kind

Sign-in uses Google's Firebase Authentication, which processes your email address to verify your identity. No data is sold, and nothing is used for advertising or tracking.

Where the data lives and how long

Inspection data is stored by the company that operates your Dakabi 5 system, in its Google Cloud project in the United States, as part of the claim file it belongs to. It is kept for as long as that company keeps the claim record. Work in progress is held on your phone until it syncs and is removed from the phone afterwards.

Your choices

Your account, and the inspection records it created, are managed by the company that issued it; contact its Dakabi administrator to change or close your account. Camera and photo access can be withdrawn at any time in iOS or Android Settings. Questions about this policy can go to hello@dakabi.com.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data handling ever changes, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date revised.
